About Hokona

Historic Hokona Hall is one of UNM’s architectural treasures and landmarks. The Cellar at Hokona is one of UNM’s popular after-class social spots, where you might catch an Xbox competition, spot friends at Karaoke Night, or enjoy a game of pool. Hokona offers the Scholars Community: A special option for students that have been awarded academic scholarships or that are in the Honors Program at UNM, and the Anderson LLC: A community for residents interested in going into the field of business, connects students to resources at the Anderson School of Management.

The President of the Hokona Community Association is an influential leadership role entrusted with the responsibility of leading and representing the interests of Hokona Hall's community members. Elected by the Hokona Community Association members, the President plays a pivotal role in shaping and leading the community's activities and initiatives.

The vice presidents serve as principal advisors to the president. Whenever the president is not present the vice president will take place and make calls.
